IGGM Guide: ARC Raiders Locked Gate Mine Disarm – Fast 20K+ Score Routes & Meta Strategies

Locked Gate mine disarming trial is one of the most unique challenges in ARC Raiders, part of Shrouded Sky update, and currently appears in Week 23 of the trial. It focuses more on map awareness and movement efficiency than combat skills. With the right route, you can easily earn 20,000+ points in 40 minutes.

Next, IGGM will tell you how to defuse mines on Blue Gate map.

Buried mines meaning and work

Buried mines are pressure-sensitive explosives planted near important locations. Once triggered, a mine will emit an audible alarm; stepping on it or shooting it will detonate it. However, it can also be defused.

Mines were originally a permanent element on ARC Raiders maps, but in Locked Gate event on Blue Gate map, they will become the targets of weekly trial.

Each mine has two reliable warning signals. The first is a visual signal: an activated mine will emit a red circle on the surrounding ground. The second is an audible signal: a continuous beeping sound that increases in volume as you approach.

This sound cues are more important than you might think, as mines hidden behind tall grass or terrain features often only become visible as you approach. When entering a minefield, slow down and listen carefully.

How to defuse a mine?

  • Step 1: Approach the mine cautiously, listening for the beeping sound.

  • Step 2: Walk directly onto the mine to trigger the defuse cues.

  • Step 3: When Disarm cues appear, hold down the Interact key.

  • Step 4: Remain still until the animation ends.

  • Step 5: After defusing, immediately move to the next mine.

If you leave a mine before defusing it, it will explode. This will cause significant damage and could even kill you instantly. So, don’t move, don’t panic, and complete the defuse.

Shooting a mine will also trigger an explosion, and the explosion of nearby grenades or other mines may cause a chain reaction. Therefore, in dense minefields, remain calm and shoot accurately.

IGGM recommends that when crossing a minefield, you hold down CTRL key to crouch. This allows you to approach the mines without triggering an accident, giving you time to assess the mine layout before defusing. Of course, if you approach a mine but no defuse prompt appears, it means another player has already defused it, and you can continue.

Where are mines on Blue Gate?

  • During Locked Gate event, all mines spawn in the following locations within Blue Gate:

  • Pilgrim’s Peak (located in the northeast area, highest ARC density, including rocket soldiers)

  • Reinforced Reception (located between Raider’s Refuge and Pilgrim’s Peak)

  • Ancient Fort (lower center of the map)

  • Raider’s Refuge (northwest area, lowest average number of mines)

Best loadout for mine disarming trial

This trial tests speed, not firepower. Your goal is to travel between four locations within 40 minutes while competing with other Raiders for the same mines. Therefore, your equipment should be built around mobility and survivability, not combat power.

Here are cheap ARC Raiders items for sale recommended by IGGM:

  • One Standard Light Shield

Maximize your score

Each mine in ARC Raiders trial awards 300 points. The three-star reward threshold is 4000 points, requiring the clearing of 14 mines. To score over 20,000 points, you’ll need to clear approximately 67-70 mines in a single game.

Solo Route strategy

Your spawn point determines your starting point. Immediately head to one of the three high-density POIs (Ancient Fort, Pilgrim’s Peak, or Reinforced Reception) and thoroughly clear that area before proceeding.

  1. Start at the nearest high-density POI and use sound cues to locate hidden mines. Clear all mines.

  2. Next, head to Pilgrim’s Peak (or any major location you haven’t visited yet).

  3. Proceed to Ancient Fort and use Adrenaline Shots to overtake other raiders.

  4. Finally, reach Raider’s Refuge, where the number of mines is consistently lower than the other three locations.

  5. Extract the rewards after clearing all four areas.

Team strategy

Teamwork completely changes the game. ARC Raiders’ weekly trials use a shared scoring system, meaning every point earned by each team member is added to the total score for all members. Split-up capturing multiple points of interest simultaneously is more efficient than group action.

For a three-person team, IGGM recommends the following optimal allocation:

  • Player 1: Pilgrim’s Peak

  • Player 2: Ancient Fort

  • Player 3: Reinforced Reception

  • Whoever finishes first takes turns going to the pillager’s refuge.

If executed correctly, this strategy can easily help your team surpass 20,000 points. Regular communication is crucial; let the players who finish first know their rotation locations and coordinate evacuations to ensure no one dies and points are still earned.
